Bhaveshri Patel Chandegra

Director of Shawstone

Bhaveshri is the director and sole owner of Shawstone Associates Solicitors. Qualifying in 2006 as a solicitor she is a highly skilled and experienced solicitor in Immigration and Asylum. Accredited as an Immigration and Asylum Senior caseworker and Supervisor by the Law society.
Graduating in Law LLB honours from the University of Hertfordshire and completed her legal practice at the University Law school.
Bhaveshri has dealt with several complex matters and has been successful in representing her clients ranging from an initial application to the Home Office to representing her clients at the Immigration and Asylum tribunal. She is also successful in challenging several refusal letters by way of judicial review applications, administrative review and permission applications to the Upper Tribunals and Court of Appeal. Attaining enhanced CRB checks enables her to represent the vulnerable in the community/society such as minor children, victims of domestic violence and those who have been victims of trafficking.
Having extensive knowledge in European Economic Area applications (EEA), applications those who fall under the points based system which can range from tier 1, Tier 2 tier 4and 5 and thereafter applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain. She has over 13 years of immigration experience and has successfully set up her own firm with specialisation in immigration.
More recently Bhaveshri has been quoted both in the Independent and Guardian newspapers with reference to challenging decisions of the Home Office in respect of her clients. She has been a consultant solicitor working with Duncan Lewis Solicitors since 2006.

Tadahiko Yajima


Tadahiko qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and is a Level 2 Accredited Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme. He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC) at the University of Westminster and completed the Law Conversion Course at the London Metropolitan University

He has over 10 years legal experience handling a wide range of immigration, asylum and human rights matters. He is also enhanced CRB checked and has represented a number of minors in their applications to remain in the UK. he is able to represent clients under 18 years old.

Tadahiko has assisted a number of clients and helped them to in finding resolutions to their problems, affording him with much personal satisfaction. He is a very motivated person and thrives in succeeding in his client’s cases.
Tadahiko has also dealt with numerous cases within the Immigration Rules and outside of the Immigration rules, both for entry clearance and in-country applications specialising in:

• Applications based on family life (specifically under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules);
• Tier 1, Tier 2 (including Minister of Religion), Tier 4 and Tier 5 applications under the points based system;
• Applications for Sponsorship License including advising employers on compliance and audits;
• Applications for settlement; and
• Applications under the European Regulations

He regularly advises and deals with appeals to the First-tier Tribunal of the Immigration Asylum Chamber on all types of immigration related cases. He advises and applies for general sponsorship license and also advises many companies seeking to establish a presence in the UK under the Sole Representative Route.
Tadahiko has dealt with a vast number of fresh claim cases and new asylum claim cases. He has demonstrated legal knowledge and prepared a number of claims for nationals from Iran.
Tadahiko is supervised by the director of Shawstone of Associates Bhaveshri Patel-Chandegra.
Tadahiko speaks both English and Japanese. He is also an advisor to the Japanese private and business community.

Ahmad Zakaria Bhatti

Caseworker Assistant

Ahmad Zakaria Bhatti joined our firm in December 2018 as an office junior and has progressed within the firm to becoming one of our excellent Immigration Caseworker.

He has been accredited as a Casework Assistant under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme. Graduating in Master of Business Administration in 2008 from the Middlesex University.

Ahmed has always had a passion to work and provide services in Immigration and has worked hard towards achieving this. Ahmad, under supervision, has dealt with several asylum and immigration matters and has been successful in assisting clients ranging from 7 year route application (as a parent of a child born in the UK) to application under Article 8 of the ECHR. Ahmed has over 3 year’s experience dealing with a wide range of immigration and asylum matters.

Ahmad under supervision, has the legal expertise and ability to work with complex cases and has extensive immigration experience in:

• EEA applications
• British Nationality Applications
• Asylum and International Protection
• Family Reunion

Ahmad is also multilingual and skilled to speak in fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
Ahmed is a dedicated individual who provides expert advice and assistance to all his client’s. Ahmed is Supervised by Bhaveshri Patel-Chandegra and conducts delegated tasks give by his seniors.

Tabarak Jabar

Trainee Caseworker Assistant

Tabarak joined our firm in September 2019 and ever since joining, she has adapted quickly. She is currently in her final studies of her LLB Law from the University of Law and has been accredited as a Trainee Caseworker Assistant under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme.

She wishes to pursue her SQE and qualify as solicitor in the UK alongside completing her Immigration and Asylum Accreditation.

Tabarak is very passionate and driven in her work. She is ambitious and hardworking and has assisted in several cases which have had a successful outcome. This includes assisting in Article 3 and Article 8 ECHR applications.

Tabarak has helped with a number of cases including:
– Asylum and International Protection
– Family Reunion Applications
– EEA Applications

Tabarak has lived in Abu Dhabi several years before her arrival in the UK. She empathises with those who are willing to move to another country to better themselves and understand the obstacles they may face.

In addition, Tabarak is also multilingual and is skilled in speaking, and writing fluently in Arabic. She can also speak basic Italian and French. Tabarak has assisted a number of Arabic clients during her time at Shawstone Associates, is always very welcoming, and understanding of their background. One of Tabarak’s main strengths is that she is continuously persistent at developing her skills and she loves learning about the different cultures she encounters.

Outside of work, Tabarak’s hobbies include, playing tennis, travelling, and fashion.

Tabarak is supervised by Bhaveshri Patel- Chandegra and she conducts delegated tasks given to her by her seniors.
