Bhaveshri Patel-Chandegra

Managing Director

Bhaveshri is the director and sole owner of Shawstone Associates Solicitors. Qualifying in 2006 as a solicitor she is a highly skilled and experienced solicitor in Immigration and Asylum. Accredited as an Immigration and Asylum Senior caseworker and Supervisor by the Law society.

Graduating in Law LLB honours from the University of Hertfordshire and completed her legal practice at the University Law school.

Bhaveshri has dealt with several complex matters and has been successful in representing her clients ranging from an initial application to the Home Office to representing her clients at the Immigration and Asylum tribunal. She is also successful in challenging several refusal letters by way of judicial review applications, administrative review and permission applications to the Upper Tribunals and Court of Appeal. Attaining enhanced CRB checks enables her to represent the vulnerable in the community/society such as minor children, victims of domestic violence and those who have been victims of trafficking.

Having extensive knowledge in European Economic Area applications (EEA), applications those who fall under the points-based system which can range from tier 1, Tier 2 tier 4and 5 and thereafter applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain. She has over 13 years of immigration experience and has successfully set up her own firm with specialisation in immigration.

Head of Immigration Department

Kreeti is a Solicitor and a Level 2 accredited caseworker, with vast experience in both UK and Indian Law. She is extremely dedicated to her work with a life goal to help others achieve their dreams, which goes hand in hand with the ethos of Shawstone Associates.

Dan Chandegra

Operations Manager

Dan looks after all things Shawstone Associates.  Dan brings a wealth of experience not only in IT, but also in Business Transformation and Business Development.  Dan looks after Internal IT, Telecoms, Marketing, Sales, Project Management and the general every day smooth running of the office and personnel.  Dan looks after all of the back office functions to help keep Shawstone Associates a well-oiled machine, dealing with any day-to-day issues and escalations.

Dan has 18 years of experience in a variety of areas such as IT Project Management and Business Transformation. Dan also plays a role in the billing process and auditing of files.

Dans main responsibilities include:

  • Managing Audit and Billing
  • Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes
  • Communicating changes in an order process to relevant parties
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed
  • Creating and monitoring projects and teams
  • Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met
  • Supporting the Director’s vision and process ideals.
  • Supporting all functions of the business to work together.

Dan has a Degree in Software Engineering, Graduating from Kingston University in 2003

Outside of wok, Dan enjoys Motor Mechanics and Physical Fitness.

    Oksana Busari


    With over 15 years of extensive experience in Human Resources Management, Oksana brings a wealth of expertise across various industries and global locations.

    Specializing in Talent Acquisition, Talent Assessment, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, and Employee Engagement, Oksana has successfully navigated diverse sectors including Retail, Banking, Telecommunications, Pharmaceutical, Fitness, Real Estate, IT, Marketing, Automotive, and Law.

    Having worked across multiple geographies including Russia, UAE, and the UK, Oksana has developed a keen understanding of international business practices and cultural nuances

    Taranpreet Chatha

    Level 2 IAAS Senior Accredited Caseworker 

    Taranpreet completed her Law LLB degree in May 2021 with Royal Holloway, University of London. She joined the firm after graduating in September 2021, with a passion of pursuing a legal career in Immigration & Asylum law.

    Taranpreet has quickly progressed from being a Paralegal to a Level 1 Immigration & Asylum Accredited caseworker. She takes pride in upholding client care in a professional manner, and aims to further progress within the firm while achieving the best results for clients.

    Outside of the workplace, Taranpreet enjoys writing poetry and has even participated in national competitions to increase awareness of world events.

    Taranpreet is multilingual, fluent in both Punjabi and Hindi.

    She is supervised by Kreeti Shah, who is currently facilitating her training and development within the firm.

    Shazia Bhatti

    Consultant Immigration solicitor

    Shazia qualified as a solicitor in April 2006. She is accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and is a Supervisor. 

    Shazia handles a wide range of Immigration cases. She specialise in asylum claims, appeal preparation and conducting advocacy at both the First-Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal of the Immigration Asylum Chamber.


    Maya Halawi

    Trainee Caseworker Assistant

    Maya completed her Law LLB degree in 2022. She joined the firm in January 2023.

    Maya has a strong interest in immigration law. As a career changer, Maya has vast experience in client care and aims to use this experience to ensure clients get treated well and with respect at the firm.

    Since joining the firm, Maya has acquired her Trainee Casework Assistant accreditation. She is also determined to work towards obtaining her Level 2 Accreditation.

    Outside of the workplace, Maya enjoys exploring new places, reading, and exercise.

    She is supervised by Kreeti Shah, a solicitor and supervisor with the firm, and is currently facilitating her training and development within the firm.

    Ammar Tuma

    Trainee Caseworker Assistant

    Ammar completed his Law LLB degree in July 2020 with University of West London. He joined the firm in April 2023, with a passion of pursuing a legal career in Immigration & Asylum law.
    Ammar has acquired his Trainee Casework Assistant accreditation. He treats every client with the respect they deserve. He is always determined to provide the most efficient client care in a professional manner, and aims to further progress within the firm while achieving the best results for clients.
    Outside of the workplace, Ammar enjoys travelling and watching football.
    Ammar is Bilingual, fluent in both Arabic and English.

    He is supervised by Kreeti Shah, who is currently facilitating his training and development within the firm.

    Marcelo Domingues De Oliveira

    Administrator and MCT Immigration caseworker

    Marcelo is a young achiever, being the youngest in our team with a high skill list. Marcelo is currently completing his L3 and going towards his L6 degree with CELIX Law School.
    Marcelo has quickly progressed from being an Administrative Assistant to a Level 1 Immigration accredited caseworker. He takes pride in upholding customer services in a professional manner and aims to further progress within the firm while achieving the best results for his clients.
    Marcelo has fast experience with:

    Marcelo is multilingual in English, Portugues, and Spanish.
    Marcelo aspires to within a year become a Level 2 senior accredited caseworker. He aims to finish his studies and qualify as an attorney in the long run. His dedication is the clients success and he strives to get his clients the best.
    Marcelo collaborates closely with Case in the Accounting department, demonstrating exceptional organizational and inter-business communication skills. Marcelo has only recently started doing case.
    Outside of the workplace, Marcelo enjoys writing songs and singing he has even participated in national life shows and performances. He influences with his songs and spreads care.
    Marcelo is supervised by Bhaveshri Patel, managing director and Kreeti Shah, head of department, solicitor, and supervisor with the firm, who are currently facilitating his training and development within the firm.
