Bhaveshri Patel-Chandegra

Managing Director

Bhaveshri is the director and sole owner of Shawstone Associates Solicitors. Qualifying in 2006 as a solicitor she is a highly skilled and experienced solicitor in Immigration and Asylum. Accredited as an Immigration and Asylum Senior caseworker and Supervisor by the Law society.

Graduating in Law LLB honours from the University of Hertfordshire and completed her legal practice at the University Law school.

Bhaveshri has dealt with several complex matters and has been successful in representing her clients ranging from an initial application to the Home Office to representing her clients at the Immigration and Asylum tribunal. She is also successful in challenging several refusal letters by way of judicial review applications, administrative review and permission applications to the Upper Tribunals and Court of Appeal. Attaining enhanced CRB checks enables her to represent the vulnerable in the community/society such as minor children, victims of domestic violence and those who have been victims of trafficking.

Having extensive knowledge in European Economic Area applications (EEA), applications those who fall under the points-based system which can range from tier 1, Tier 2 tier 4and 5 and thereafter applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain. She has over 13 years of immigration experience and has successfully set up her own firm with specialisation in immigration.

Amardeep Singh

Dan Chandegra

Operations Manager

Dan looks after all things Shawstone Associates.  Dan brings a wealth of experience not only in IT, but also in Business Transformation and Business Development.  Dan looks after Internal IT, Telecoms, Marketing, Sales, Project Management and the general every day smooth running of the office and personnel.  Dan looks after all of the back office functions to help keep Shawstone Associates a well-oiled machine, dealing with any day-to-day issues and escalations.

Dan has 18 years of experience in a variety of areas such as IT Project Management and Business Transformation. Dan also plays a role in the billing process and auditing of files.

Dans main responsibilities include:

  • Managing Audit and Billing
  • Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes
  • Communicating changes in an order process to relevant parties
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed
  • Creating and monitoring projects and teams
  • Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met
  • Supporting the Director’s vision and process ideals.
  • Supporting all functions of the business to work together.

Dan has a Degree in Software Engineering, Graduating from Kingston University in 2003

Outside of wok, Dan enjoys Motor Mechanics and Physical Fitness.

    Neha Kapur

    Senior Caseworker

    Neha is a Senior Caseworker with a Level 2 Accreditation with the Law Society of England and Wales. She is a strong individual who works well under pressure and is extremely sufficient upon set deadlines. She works well in a team and is said to be an asset to the firm.

    Neha holds a Masters Degree in International Management from the University of Exeter. She has worked with various international organisations in the UK and India including the Consulate General of India, Birmingham before she started practicing asylum and immigration Law.

    Neha has great attention to detail and takes a meticulous approach to her work. She prides herself on the friendly yet professional relationship she shares with her clients and is dedicated to achieving the best results for them.

    She takes instructions on both Legal Aid and Private matters. She is also multilingual speaking Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.

    Sonica Thind


    Sonica completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC with LLM) in September 2021 with the University of Law. She joined the firm in July 2021 as a Legal Receptionist, and very quickly progressed into being a Paralegal. She is currently training how to be a Paralegal and will soon complete her Immigration Accreditation examinations.

    She is supervised by Bhaveshri Patel-Chandegra who is currently facilitating her training and development within the firm.

    Sonica hopes to complete her period of recognised training with Shawstone Associates, and aspires to become a fully qualified solicitor, specialising in Immigration and Asylum Law. 

    Kathleen Anson


    Kathleen is a level one accredited Immigration and Asylum Law caseworker which she achieved within a short period of working at the firm.

    Kathleen graduated with a Law LLB Degree from the University of Hertfordshire and continued her studies at King’s College London where she is finishing her Masters of Law.

    Kathleen aids Legal Aid and Private Matters where she is dedicated to helping achieve the desired outcome for clients in a clear-cut and professional manner.

    She hopes to complete two years’ work experience down the Solicitors Qualifying Examination route and become a qualified solicitor by the end of 2023.

    She is supervised by Bhaveshri Patel-Chandegra who is currently facilitating her training and development within the firm.
